Prep Day 3 10.01.08
Today is Day 3 and I am felling really good.
I think a lot of me feeling this well has to do with preparation.
I really spent a lot of time looking up things on this diet, and it was hard to find. This is part of the reason I started this blog. What I did find were a few good boards with in and support groups. Now, I typically hate support groups, but they did have some great advice.
How did I prepare for my diet? I started eating differently a month before I started. I knew that portions were going to be small, so I started eating less. I really looked at what I was putting into my mouth and started eating every 3 hours. I tried to make each meal be about 300-400 calories and had 5-6 meals a day eating about 1600 calories. Only eating 1200 and I didn't lose. I have a fast metabolism, so I need more.
I also started looking at what my meals were made up of. I was eating way too many carbs and not enough protein. I also rarely ate fruit or veggies, so I started working these into my diet.
I did lose 10 lbs in a month doing this. It also gave me a good jumping off point to start the Dr. Cohen Diet.
Ok well that is enough for my tip of the day.
Here is what I ate:
M1 - Apples finely chopped into yogurt
S1 - Apple 1L Water
M2 - Turkey and Cauliflower
S2 - Apple
M3 - Lettuce and Tuna
1L Water at bed
I had forgot my crackers at home, which I will not do again. I want to at least keep a few 'bread' carbs around.

Prep Day 2 09.30.08
Today was even easier.
I know tomorrow will be rough. It suppose to be the day when your body goes... WTF are you doing?!??!?!
The body is reacting to the toxins being released from the fat and the change in the amount and how you are eating your food. I'm ready. Plus I warned everyone at work I might be in a bad mood :)
I also am training for a half-marathon, but I have out that on hold this week, to allow me to get used to the food on the diet.
Todays food:
Meal 1 - Yogurt with Kiwi, Diet Coke
Snack 1 - Apple
Meal 2 - Turkey with Spinash (hey I am a creature of habit), Ice Tea
Snack 2 - Apple
Meal 3 - Tuna with Cauliflower, Diet Soda
Snack 3 - Cracker and 1L water.
I was very bad with my water today, I did however, drink 52 oz of Ice Tea.

This is my hello...
I decided to start the program today. I just can't wait. I am ready to do this.
I don't want to eat any last meals, I just want to be dedicated and get started.
I am ready.
So.... I did it. My first day is over and it was a snap. Here is what I ate:
Meal 1 - Yogurt with apple and a cracker. 1L of Water
Snack 1 - Cracker, Diet Soda
Meal 2 - Turkey and Fresh Spinach
Snack 2 - Apple with cracker and 1L Water
Meal 3 - Turkey and Cauliflower, Diet Soda
Snack 3 - Apple and Cracker. 1L Water
My starting weight is 202.

A hundred thousand words could not quite explain...
How HAPPY I am right now!
I got the program!!!!! I'm in!
The only thing, is they gave me a goal weight of 130!
130. I haven't been 130 since I was 21. Actually 20.
I am going to head out right now and buy everything I need.
I've also been reading many other message boards to find out a lot about the program, so I have a very good idea of the "extras" I need.
Here is what I am getting tonight:
Digital Scale, Lean Meat, Chicken Breast, Turkey Breast, Halibut, Mahi Mahi,Tuna, Crackers, Spinach, Lettuce, Spaghetti Squash, Cucumbers, Yogurt, Kiwi, Tomatoes, Apples and Garlic.
There are so many things I could get, but these are the only things I like.
My official program start date is October 3, 2008 meaning that my 12 weeks is over 12.26.2008. Ha could have I called it any closer?!?!?
PS... This program really is specific to the person, so don't follow what I am doing, as I will not publish the food measurement used and it could be dangerous if you try to do it.

This is going to break me clean in two...
More waiting...
I received the blood test results today and EVERYTHING was well within the normal range. Its Friday, so now I have to wait.
I am sure that I will get into the program, as everything looks perfect... but what if that is not a good thing for this program? So now it is just down to a waiting game.
I emailed the prgram to ask how long it could take to get everything back and they said up to a week AFTER the blood tests.
Then, you have an extra week, to get everything you need for the program.
I am really closing in on my deadline. I have plans for New Years, which include being much thiner than I am now!

Between the lines of fear and blame
Today was my blood test.
Now I have to wait. I HATE waiting.
It feels like I'm about to either have the best or worst thing that could happen right now take place.
Yes, I am losing weight (finally on my own) but I want the big change. I know it will be hard but I am willing to do the work and follow the plan 100%

Everyone knows I'm in over my head...
I called and booked and paid for the blood test, but... I can't go until tomorrow for it!
My grand plan is coming apart. I needed to start this week to be ahead of my deadline.
I realize that losing what I need to lose more than likely will not happen in the 12 week period, unless I am one of their "real" sucess cases, but I know it is still a possibility. I wont be too upset if I don;t make it, but it will still be a goal.
Anyway, I have a trip planned and I will be seeing people who have never known me except for being heavy and I would LOVE to blow them away.
I told a few people about my diet plan and they think I'm crazy, in way over my head and that just makes me realize I just need to shut up. Let the results speak for themselves.
I'm ready to prove to myself that I can do this.
